To take in unwanted or neglected,
captive bred, Owls and give them a
good home.
To take in injured native wild owls,
rehabilitate and release back into the

Our main objective is to educate the public
about the plight of our Native and Non-
native Owls. Explaining that the main threat
they face is caused by humans.
This is done by educational talks to schools
and children’s groups such as Brownies,
Guides, Beavers etc. We have home-
education groups come to the sanctuary for
a visit and talk.
We have SEN Groups / Schools visit us (or
we take owls to visit them). We have found
that this is very beneficial for the students.
We give talks to residential homes, where
the residents find it very therapeutic to
meet an Owl.|||

came from homes where they could no longer
be looked after.
We rescued 9 owls this year up to the Avian Flu
restrictions on 23/12/24. 5 were released
when fully fit and 4 were euthanised by the
local vets due to the severity of their injuries.
We visited 12 Schools, 11 Groups, 11
Residential homes where we gave a talk about
the work we do, the owls themselves and their
situation in the wild.
We attended 4 birthday parties and 1 funeral.
We went to 32 events where we had a stall to
help with fundraising and awareness.
We have work placement students from the
local colleges, and work experience students
from the local high schools. We are also getting
more students from the local SEN
schools/groups.
The number of events and visits we attended,
was also affected by avian flu restrictions.|
We have started the rebuilding of the enclosures to meet the new zoo standards, for which we are continuing the fundraise.

**Report to the trustees/** Charity Name **members of** Fritton Owl Sanctuary, Registered Charity **On accounts for the year** 31[st] March 2025 **Charity no** 1167831 **ended (if any)** I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **31/03/2025 Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
**Independent** I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

I can confirm there are no matters found when reviewing the charity records which need to be addressed within this report however recommendations have been made to the Charity as to how they can enhance their record keeping and financial information moving forward in order to support the Charity as it grows and provide better financial data for annual analysis.
I can confirm that the records have been correctly and accurately maintained by the Charity and represent a true likeness of the Charity’s activities in the financial year.
