Para 1.17 and 1.19 Our main objective is to educate the public about the plight of our Native and Non- native Owls. Explaining that the main threat they face is caused by humans. This is done by educational talks to schools and children’s groups such as Brownies, Guides, Beavers etc. We have home- education groups come to the sanctuary for a visit and talk. We have SEN Groups / Schools visit us (or we take owls to visit them). We have found that this is very beneficial for the students. We give talks to residential homes, where the residents find it very therapeutic to meet an Owl. |
