Our main objective is to educate the publi
about the plight of our Native and Non-native
(Xvls. Explaining that the main threat they
fa¢e is caused by humans.
This is done by educational lalks to sth¢x)Is
and children's groups such as Brownies,
Guides, 8eavers etc. We have home-
education groups come to the sanctuary for
a visit and talk.
We have SEN Groups I Schools visit us {or
we take owls to visit them). We have found
that this is very beneficial for the students.
We give talks to residential homes, where
the residents find it very therapeutic to meet
an ¢￿￿.

All our staff are volunteers. They work
with the Owls, cleaning and handling.
And training owls. They represent the
sanctuary at events and help with
fundralsing.

We took in 2 captive bred bird5 this year These
came from homes where they could no longer
be looked after.

We rescued 4 young wild owls which sent to
another rescue centre who has better facilitie5
to Tehabilitate young owls and released back
into the wild.
Due to the Avian Flu outbreak we were not able
to rescue wild owls. We were not allowed to
take our bird5 Off 51te for vi51t5. We put strirt
procedures in place to prevent avian flu from
getting into our collection.
We had a busy period from April to October
before the Avian Flu restrictions. We had 3
Senco visits, 6 Schools, I Child and 6 Adult
Groups. 6 Residential hornes, I shop opening
and 19 events where we had a stall to help with
fundraising and awarene5S.
We continuing to improve the site for our
sitors and the Owls. We do not perform flying
displays with our birds.

**Report to the trustees/** Charity Name **members of** Fritton Owl Sanctuary, Registered Charity **On accounts for the year** 31[st] March 2023 **Charity no** 1167831 **ended (if any)** I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **31/03/2023** . **Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of  the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

**Independent** I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or 

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or 

- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
