## **Purpose of the Charity**
The charity is registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and its object as stated in its Constitution is:
“To advance art for the public benefit by the provision, refurbishment and maintenance of publicly available works of art in Tunbridge Wells.”
## **Activities**
The charity has been seeking opportunities for new or replacement public art in the public areas of Tunbridge Wells, but has had its activities curtailed during the year due to the Covid 19 pandemic
The charity’s Trustees have stated that they have complied with the duty in section 4 of the 2006 Act to have due regard to guidance on public benefit published by the Commission.
## **Achievements**
Since the end of the year, the charity has been involved in a project to restore an ornamental fountain in one of the town’s public parks. This is currently a work in progress.
## **Financial**
The Charity received no income during the current or previous year. The charity’s payments in the year totalled £78 bank charges (previous year £60).
At the end of the year the charity had reserves of £818 (previous period £896) being cash of £1,118 less outstanding loans of £300. These reserves are held in order to defray any day to day running expenses that might be incurred, and to act as seed corn capital for potential projects. The charity’s policy is to keep reserves to a minimum, as new projects will be specifically funded by targeted fund-raising activities.
