Secton B Structure, governance and management
The Governing Document is the constitution of a Charitable Incorporated Organisation whose only voting members are its Charity Trustees.
The Charity is constituted as an Association and was registered as a Charity on 22[nd] June 2016. Trustees are appointed by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the Charity Trustees.
The Charity is managed by Jane Ena and Lynne Sayer, who are also Trustees reporting to the Trustees at Trustee meetings and to them generally throughout the year.
The Trust insures its activities and third party liability through Ecclesiastical Insurance.
Secton C Objectves and actvites
The objects of the Charity as set out in its Governing Document is to promote music and the arts in the local community by providing a platform for young musicians and artists to perform and display their talents to the local public.
In summary, its primary means of achieving this is through the organisation of musical and arts events throughout the year at venues in the local community.
In accordance with The Trustees Mission Statement, these events are widely advertised locally and are only made possible with the generous sponsorship and donations of our supporters and benefactors. For many attendees it may have been their introduction to the world of music and art. We have been determined to continue running the charity in our founder Denis Moriarty’s honour, and to continue to support young musicians and the community.
Secton D Achievements and performance
We’ve made fantastic progress this year and have once again continued building momentum after a slower period following the loss of our founder, Denis Moriarty. We were delighted to hold a series of very well attended events through the year at Leighton House in Holland Park, and at St John the Baptist Church, Kensington.
Highlights included an Autumn Festival held at St John the Baptist in October 2024 featuring a variety of performances over 3 days and we returned to Leighton House in December for a Christmas recital with Korean-American countertenor Kangman Justin Kim, accompanied by Adam Dickson.
