**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**

In previous years the trustees have commented that no grants had been advanced due to the charity remaining in its formative stage. The capital of the charity remained very modest during the year just ended. However, given the difficult economic backdrop due to the emergence of the Covid global pandemic, the trustees felt compelled to extend support to four individual charities at a level felt likely to make a practical difference to each charity concerned. The monies in each case were very gratefully received. This makes further donations less likely in the short term, pending receipt of additional capital sums from the charity’s founders and their close associates. The trustees are aware that, at some stage, they can expect to receive a legacy of a size which will represent a multiple of current resources, although by its nature the timing of this legacy is uncertain. This will offer a much-increased future opportunity to provide ongoing public benefit.

**Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)**

You **may choose** to include further statements, where relevant, about:

- policy on grantmaking;

- policy programme related investment;

- contribution made by volunteers.

## Section D Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

As outlined above, the trustees‘ resources are now extremely modest, as a result of the award of four donations during the year, totalling £6,000.
