LUTON UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB

Below sets out details of the Charities Annual Report for the period 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024.The Accounts
and Report are approved by the Trustees and provide a reflection of the Charities performance and activities for
the year.
Objectives and Activities..
The Charity inception was on the 21st June 2016 and had a long-standing presence in the community as an
Association Football Club providing football to the local community as its primary objective. The Club has sought
to widen its appeal therefore its current operation is to ensure association football as the means to meet the
current objectives for the charity=
To provide quality assured, safe and healthy opportunities, ￿Creation and exercise for children, young people
and adults of all ages in the community.
To provide a safe and positive environment for young people and others as an alternative to them embarking
on anti-social and risk threatening behaviour.
To help people realise their potential, develop lifelong skills through teamwork, coaching, education, training
and volunteering.
To introduce people to sport regardless of age, abilty, sex, religion or other protected characteristics.
To improve the public amenities and sports facilities in Blundell Road Recreation Ground.
The charity has sought to ensure that its aims and objectives have been underpinned by the following values..
Promote community health and well-being amongst all age groups through participation in sports, education,
leisure and exercise.
Helping others to become involved and empowered by listening to and understanding what local people want.
Engaging young people in team approaches and in devising positive futures for themselves whilst diverting
them from anti-social behaviour and providing positive pro social modelling.
Providing full mutual support and seeking community participation and involvement.
Inclusive and open to all, considering gender, age, race, ethnicity, faith, sexuality, disability, health and income.
Providing affordable, and accessible facilities for all.
Structure, Governance and Management:
The organisation is set up as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation and the day to day running and
management is done by the twstees of the organisation. The charity intends to move towards developing an
executive structure to support greater transparency in decision making. When trustee vacancies arise, we aim
to advertise more widely in the wider community to create a more inclusive group of trustees.

FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2025
Chairman's Report:
I would like to begin by thanking our members, volunteers and coaches without whom the club would not exist.
Year on year, your enthusiasm and dedicated support enables us to provide for our community and l am
always grateful.
Off the field
This year our priority was our clubhouse. It had been in state where thorough investment and change was
required to make it a fully functional clubhouse. Over the last few years it had been primarily used as a store
room with barely usable toileting facilities.
The ambition was to make it a fully functional clubhouse, providing comfortable changing rooms for players
and coaches with clean ftjlly functional bathroom facilities. We managed to secure some funding to help us
along the way. And work began earlier this year and was completed just after the beginning of the season.
We have moved the perimeter of the clubhouse and installed a dedicated storage area for equipment behind
the clubhouse. We have fully fumished both changing rooms, all the toilet areas and the lobby. The outside
of the clubhouse was repaired and repainted also. This allows us a fantastic opportunity to use the clubhouse
for its intended purposes. We have seen the players. coach's parents and supporters all using the facilities
now and complimenting the changes achieved. We have already had requests from other community groups
for use of the facilities which we are happy to do.
Playing surfaces wise, the extremely hot summer made repairing the pitches very difficult for the council. We
have had multiple conversations with them with the hope that at the end of the season more support will be
provided to help repair the pitches. We will also look into opportunities to raise funds for moveable goalposts.
For next year this will be a key focus
On the pitch
Success was attained in various areas for 202412025. The most enjoyable and important thing is having 9
teams competing in the leagues from u9s to adult football. With over 150 players enjoying playing football on
a weekly basis facilitated by a great bunch of volunteer coaches and enthusiastic parents.
Notable mentions include..
The tNo under 13s teams. One team winning the title and being promoted and the second also being
promoted. The under 12s also being promoted. with the additional bonus of winning the cup also. Finally the
under 9's had great Suc￿sS in winning the spring cup.
Going forward into 202512026 we have started the season with 9 teams from u10s to adults.
This year we must work to improve the clubs social media representation to help increase awareness of the
club and increased player profile. We must work towards recruiting additional volunteers and we will also look
into providing more football for females and children between 4-8 as there is a lot of demand
In summary it has been another successful year for the club with many successes on the pitches but continued
organic growth of the club as a community organisation.

LUTON UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2025
Finally, as always I thank each and every person associated with the club. Whether it is a player, coach,
volunteer or parent. It takes all of us to make this club successful.
Thank you all for your commitrnent to our club.
Yours Sincerely
Mohammed Zahir
