LUTON UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2024
Below sets out details of the Charities Annual Report for the period 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024.The Accounts
and Report are approved by the Trustees and provide a reflection of the Charities performance and activities for
the year.
Objectives and Activities:
The Charity inception was on the 21st June 2016 and had a long-standing presence in the community as an
Association Football Club providing football to the local community as its primary objective. The Club has sought
to widen its appeal therefore its current operation is to ensure association football as the means to meet the
current objectives for the charity-.
To provide quality assured, safe and healthy opportunities, recreation and exercise for children, young people
and adults of all ages in the community.
To provide a safe and positive environment for young people and others as an alternative to them embarking
on anti-social and risk threatening behaviour.
To help people realise their potential, develop lrfelong skills through teamwork, coaching, education, training
and volunteering.
To introduce people to sport regardless of age, abilty, sex, religion or other protected characteristics.
To improve the public amenities and sports facilities in Blundell Road Recreation Ground.
The charity has sought to ensure that its aims and objectives have been underpinned by the following values..
Promote community health and well-being amongst all age groups through participation in sports, education,
leisure and exercise.
Helping others to become involved and empowered by listening to and understanding what local people want.
Engaging young people in team approaches and in devising positive futures for themselves whilst diverting
them from anti-social behaviour and providing positive pro social modelling.
Providing full mutual support and seeking community participation and involvement.
Inclusive and open to all, considering gender, age, race. ethnicity, faith, sexuality, disability, health and income.
Providing affordable, and accessible facilities for all.
Structure, Governance and Management..
The organisation is set up as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation and the day to day running and
management is done by the trustees of the organisation. The charity intends to move towards developing an
executive structure to support greater transparency in decision making. When trustee vacancies arise, we aim
to advertise more widely in the wider communty to create a more inclusive group of trustees.

LUTON UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2024
Chaimian's Report:
To start with, one of the key principles of the club is that it is a grass roots football club, run by the community,
for the community. Therefore, first and foremosL I must thank the coaches and volunteers at the club. Every
year these key individuals give up their personal time to help facilitate sport in our community and without
them, this club would not function. We continue to build and grow our club in an upward trajectory and they are
the foundations for that. I would also like to thank our members and sponsors for their continued support which
allows us to operate the club on a day-to4ay basis.
On the Field
Season 202312024 finished with several successes. Our under 18s finishing 3rd in division one and also
reached the cup final in their final season of youth football with Luton United. Our under 15's finished 2nd in
division 3 which is marked improvement from the year before. The under 14, had a difficult year in division 1
having been promoted the year before. They can still be proud of their achievements having played against
some of the best teams and players from around the county. The under 13's having a good season in division
3. The under 12's being the only age group with 2 teams this year is fantastic. The phantoms also won the
midseason cup. The under 11's and under 9's continues to grow with the under 9's already preparing for a split
into 2 teams for season 2024125.
One major success was we had our first ever fonnal female under 15's match. A 3-3 draw against Barton to
whom we are very grateful in setting up. It was a real sense of achievement as we all know what went into
making this happen within our community. The season finished with hope of this continuing a legacy but there
was disappointment in the coach not being available to continue in 2024125. A lesson learned is to work on
finding female coaches in our community to really help push this as the demand is there.
For season 2024125 we have 9 participating teams in the local leagues. Under 9, Under 10, Under 12, Under
13P, Under 13T, Under 14, Under 15, Under 16 and to our newly created an adult team. The season has
started well for all the teams
Off the field
One of the biggest changes we will have this season is the investment in portable lighting. This will allow us
have winter training at Blundell Recreation ground. It is going to be a new concept for us and we are hopeful
that it will successful.
Regarding the clubhouse we have a di￿ need to improve the clubhouse, to make it a fully-fledged clubhouse
serving the needs of the club and the community. This is crucial for the future growth of the club. We will work
diligently to try and raise the necessary funds for this to happen during 2025.
The pitches are also a concern as over the last few years the grass coverage and quality has deteriorated.
We will work with the council and the FA to see what we can do to improve and also find altemated means as
the growth of the club is dependent on quality pitches.
We also must improve the club's social media representation to help increase awareness of the club and
increased player profile. A monthly club newsletter went live in Q12024 to some success. We must look to
how we can continue both the newsletter and social media awarenesslpromotion of the club.

LUTON UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2024
In summary we continue to work on growing the club both on and off the pitch. We are limited with volunteers,
but we will continue to try and recruit more volunteers to help drive us further. The club moves forward and
continues to provide footb211 to around 200 children in our community on a weekly basis. For this I thank each
and every person associated with the club. Whether it is a player, coach, volunteer, sponsor or parent. It
takes all of us to make this club successful.
Thank you all for your commitment to our club.
Yours Sincerely
Mohammed Zahir
