Dear Members of Luton United FC
As the chairman of Luton United FC, it is my pleasure to present to you the annual report for the past year.
Overall, it has been a successful year for our club. We have seen steady growth in membership, with an increase of 20% since last year. This has allowed us to field more teams and provide more opportunities for our players. We have added three new teams which included Luton United’s first ever girls’ team. We now have a total of 11 teams ranging from u8 to u18. We have also recruited four new coaches. This includes two female coaches from within the community.
In terms of on-field success, several of our teams have had strong showings in local leagues and tournaments. Our U10 team reached the final of the league cup, and our U12 boys finished runners up in the league. We are very proud of all our players and coaches for their hard work and dedication.
Off the field, we have also made significant progress. We have secured new funding, which have helped us to improve our facilities and purchase new equipment. We have also implemented new policies and procedures to ensure that our club is run in a more efficient and effective manner. We have introduced a new membership portal which has reduces admin time and allowed us to focus on the development of the club. The club has most recently taken over the lease of the clubhouse from the council which will allow us to obtain more funding to improve the clubhouse. We also held several successful fundraising events, including a Super Saturday and Parents Day.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our members - players, coaches, parents, and volunteers - for their contributions to the club. Without your support, none of our successes would be possible.
Looking ahead, we have ambitious goals for the upcoming year. We plan to continue to grow our membership and improve our facilities, with the ultimate goal of becoming the premier grassroots club in the region. With your continued support, I am confident that we can achieve this goal.
Thank you for your commitment to our club.
Sincerely
Mujahid Zaman Luton United FC Club Chairman
