Our newsletter, publlshed morthly, was shad wlth a number of other dub5 In the UK and atroad vla eBe8s,
nd contynued to be well regardej and reIved.
One of our four objettlves Is to rnlse awareness •m(9St the goneral publlc of the value& the envlronment and
thÉ economy of toes ano other polllnators. To thls end we gave slgnltlcantly more tslks and workshops to s¢hool$,
youth and adult organlsatlons. Unfortunatelyi due to lack of member sUprt. we have teen unable to apt most
Invftatyons to attend Icol show5, fetes and 9alas. We did, however, swe è very successful annual Open Day.
Malntalnlng our aplary slte has proved chall*ffjglng and our wlldfiower meadow has become overgrown.
The very varlable weather throughout last year was not kond to otsr apiarlès and many of our colonle5 have
struggled. Indement weather also dlsrupted many of our planned apiary Intefventyons and prnttical tralnln9
sesslons. A number of slte m•lntenance se551ons and sodal meeUng5 were not well support*J by members.
Durjng 2025 we stsrr8J to set up our second club aplary on 8 slte whlth Is belng devdoped Into an outdoor,
envIronMtal educauon cwttre. Bey instslNno two hlves, atrrwtty wlthout bees, no furttter progress has been
madé.
We cvntlnue to have an Invofvemeftt wlth FoodFutures. a Nerth Lancashlo based organlsatlon whose obJertlve5
are to encouraoe more people to develop healthy diats by growlng more of thelr own f4>)d uslng organlc growing
methods. Our contrfbutlon Is to try to ensure that thelr plans and stratsgles Involve approprlate provLslons ft
pjlllnators.

At the of thls Club year, our last hvo founder trustees, Fred and Glenls Ayres. will be stepplng down alter 10
years Of SeThI.
In late January V held a General Meetlng to enable m•nbets to all of our actlvltles and ¥sass whkh
contlnue to attratt vlable sUPPOrt. The meetlr*g was not well attended but the majortty of th¢Jse present felt that
th* organlsatlon should corttrnue as a reglstere(I chaflty. Two members volunteered to OoMe trustee5 and wlll b•
fomially app)Inted in Mèrch. At thls tlme the trustees plan to drclslate to member5 their plans for going forward.
