Health Express Notes to the Flnanclal Statements for the Perlod 17 June 2016 to 31 M2r¢h 2017 ACCOUNTING POLICIES Basls of preparing the Iln4nclal statements The financial statements of the charity. which is a public bencfit entity under FRS 102, have been prepar¢d in accordan with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective l January 2015) and the Charities Act 2011. The financial statements have been prepared under historical cost conveniion. There were no material departures from that Standard. The principal accounting policies adopted in the preparation of the fllwicial statements are set out below and have becn consistently appjied within the san]e accounts. The charity was dornwil throughout thi8 period. Taxdon The charity is exempt from taxation in respect of income or Capital gains received to the extent that such income or gains are applied exclusively for charitable purposes. The charity is not cxempt from Value Added Tax, Irrecoverable Value Added Tax is included in the cost of ihose items to which it relates.
