## **Chair’s Report**

It gives me great pleasure to present this year’s Chair’s Report on behalf of the Hillcross Primary School Childrens’ Fund Charitable Trust. Once again, we are grateful for the continued support and generosity of our parents, carers, extended families, and the wider community. Your contributions, both financial and through volunteering your time, have had a significant impact on the learning experiences and opportunities we have been able to provide for our children this year.

Thanks to direct donations and a wide range of fundraising activities, including textile recycling, our ever-popular Pedal Push, Christmas collectibles, school performances, pre-loved uniform sales, and other community purchases, we raised a substantial sum this year. Every penny has gone towards enriching our children's educational experience beyond the core curriculum.

The Trust has been able to fund a wide variety of resources and activities across the school. These include:

- Resources for our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

- The launch of our new reading room The Woodland Lodge at the edge of our mini forest.

- New book storage units and reading books to promote a love of reading throughout the school

- Subscriptions to children’s magazines to broaden learning and engagement

- Library system software renewal to enhance our school library provision

- A new PA system and microphone to support school events and performances

- Workshops on Anti-Bullying, fostering a supportive and inclusive school culture

- A special King’s Coronation workshop, to celebrate the coronation

- New equipment for our specialist teaching rooms, The Food Tech room and the Art Studio

- A whole-school experience with the Snow White Pantomime

- Topic resources for Whole School Topic (WST) learning, which this year celebrated the power of the word, and included much enjoyed Graffiti Workshop

...along with numerous other items and opportunities that directly benefit our children’s experience of school.

It is heartening to see how, through the collective efforts of our community, we continue to provide enrichment activities and resources that complement and enhance the normal curriculum. These experiences not only foster creativity, curiosity, and engagement but also contribute to our children’s personal development and wellbeing.

On behalf of the Trustees, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who has supported the Trust this year, whether through donations, attending events, volunteering, or simply spreading the word. It is only through your ongoing generosity and commitment that we are able to continue providing these valuable opportunities for our children.

We look forward to building on this success in the coming year.
