Objectives for 2023r24 wer¢ to rtodu¢e a second gala 'Dance for lJkraine' in support of the arts in
Ukrain¢. Thc pro¢ccds would be applied to two projects:

This obj¢¢tive was met through production of a ballet gala at the IA)ndon Palladium theatre on 18
Febnwy 2024. Ivan Putrov actcd as iknistic and Production Director. All artists gavc their services
pro bono. for which the charity is extremely ￿fUl.
Work was commenced on toth projects during th¢ year. Both are aimed at supEthing dance in the
UkraAn¢ and couthering the movement of talent abroad.
Work was begun by the Tards G. Schevchenko National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of
Ukraine on preparation for introduction of Ashton's La Fille Mal Gardée to the repertory of the
National Ballet of Ukraine. The premiere was held on 12 June 2025. The charity supported external
costs of the production, specifically production rights. set materials and outsourcing of construction
necessitated by theatre staff conscription, costume materials and choreography and lighting
servI￿s. The charitys budget for this suppon was £77,(XX), and fundraising continued to enable
delivery of the support.
A purchase of £IO.000 dancewear stock (with a retsil sales value of £￿.1￿)0} was arranged with
Dancia International as that company closed in late 2024. The daftcewear was tran5POrted to

chariVs proiett in Support of dance students. A sponsorship agreement to donate the stock wa5

The C'harity has no staff and CUTrentty is not incurring ongoing fundraising ¢osts. The Board's policy
is that any ¢xpenditurc commitm¢nts require certainty of supporting income. C'onwuentty the
Trnstees do not believe that it is necessary io hold any significant reserves in order to ensure the
continuation of the C"hariWs 0F￿ratIOnS. It is neverthcless desirable that rcserves are bulk up over time
to give the Board ￿er ability to res￿lld to opportunity. but no as￿￿llated tsrgets have been set.
