28
3.Udhiya:
In this project, the sums owed (according to the prices at the time) are collected from the Sudanese who are outside the country and local laws prevent them from sacrificing in the usual way and from large families who are obligated to sacrifice for a number of their members and wish to give their sacrifices, and then calves that meet the conditions of sacrifice are bought and then slaughtered and distributed To those who are entitled to it from poor families and vulnerable groups inside and outside Khartoum State.

Education
The Education Pillar includes three main programs:
-
Alternative Education
-
Emaar Project .
-
Education of Children with Special Needs
The following projects have been implemented within the programs of the Education sector :
1.Alternative Education
About the program:
Sudan has the highest rate of out-of-school children in the Middle East and North Africa, more than 3.6 million children between the ages of 6-13 years old do not receive basic education according to the statistical book of the Federal Ministry of Education, in addition to that about 25% of those who enroll in primary education do not stay in school in order to complete the full elementary cycle.
Among the factors that affect the enrollment of children in education are the economic constraints related to poverty and the low government investment in basic education, as in some areas there are no schools completely or they are at long distances and are not academically prepared (lack of teachers and textbooks) or in terms of infrastructure,
58
In addition to the absence of a home education culture and the lack of costs and auxiliary tools for that, as well as insecurity in conflict areas, and displacement greatly contribute to children not enrolling in school in those areas, as well as social and cultural barriers (such as negative attitudes towards girls ’education and insufficient awareness of the aspect of early marriage for girls).
In light of these circumstances and challenges, UNICEF, in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Education, in 2005 implemented the Alternative Learning Program Strategy (ALP) in Sudan. It is considered one of the best strategies to provide basic education to children and youth outside schools, as it increases their chances of joining the educational system and provides them with basic skills, life and employment, which improves their lives.
It provides alternative education for children and youth who have missed the opportunity to enroll in school naturally. The program includes achieving the goals of the regular curriculum and delivering it to dropouts in a flexible and informal way in concentrated doses. The program is specifically designed to support children who drop out of school in conflict areas in Blue Nile, South Kordofan, Kassala and the Red Sea. And the displaced in Khartoum State, this program summarizes the eight-year primary education stage into four cycles:
The first cycle: From 7-9 years old, they will be distributed to public schools after one academic year.
59
The second cycle: From 10-14 years old, they are distributed to government schools or craft centers after an academic year
The third cycle: From 15-24 years old, they are distributed to craft centers after an academic year
Duration of study: one full academic year
The applicable curriculum: Arabic - Mathematics - English - Religious Education - Computer - Science.
Sadagaat and The Alternative Learning Program:
Due to the great impact of the project and the need of a large group of society for the alternative education project, Sadagaat, in partnership with UNICEF and the Ministry of Education, began implementing the program, beginning in the area of Ombada Dar Al-Salam at the beginning of 2018 to reduce the problem of school dropout by establishing (three) centers for the integration of children Youth are outside the school inside Al-Shaheed Al-Zubair 41 mixed school, AlShahid Majzoub Al-Khalifa 45 mixed school, and the Al-Salam school 39 for girls.
The activities of the project continued until the year 2019, when the first batch of 420 boys and girls from the three alternative education centers graduated. The project achieved great success in returning 300 children and girls to classes
60
corresponding to their ages and academic level in regular basic schools, and an awareness campaign was conducted on the importance of education in Dar Al-Salam, in addition to conducting a study to evaluate the experience of the three alternative education centers and study the possibility of establishing new centers in the locality of Ombada. Sadagaat Organization continued the project with its own resources in the year 2019-2020, so the following activities were implemented that contribute to supporting the project and maintaining the regularity of the educational process and the children going to school:

Due to the Corona pandemic, studies were suspended in the centers in March 2020.
The expansion of the alternative education program:
After studying and evaluating the impact and feasibility of the alternative education program in Dar Al-Salaam locality, Sadagaat organization considered that it is necessary to continue implementing the program and expand in other areas due to its clear impact on returning students to classes parallel to their ages. Therefore, the organization responded to the UNICEF proposal to expand and implement the program in the Nile and Gezira states, and entered into a new partnership to establish 24 alternative education centers in the states of Gezira and River Nile.

Where the population of the region suffers from the problems of disabilities due to the closure of the area socially by marriage of relatives, which is the reason for the spread of the proportions of children with special needs globally.

2-4 Sudan Civil Service Leadership Program :
After a new transitional government took power in September 2019, Sudan was facing the challenge of adapting its public service to the new environment that emerged as a result of fundamental changes in the political system. These changes require new structures and institutions of public administration in addition to major reforms in public administration, including human resource management. To meet these challenges, it is imperative that the civil service and workforce in the public sector in Sudan acquire new skills and qualifications.
Since the economic situation calls for accelerating reform efforts in the public administration, it is important for Sudan to invest in an effective and efficient civil service system, which will enable employees to improve the provision of their services and support economic and social
66
development, as well as build the capacities of the next generation of civil service cadres.
In this context, and in partnership with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development and UNICEF, the program was established, which aims to employ about 100 junior and intermediate professionals in the Ministry of Labor and Social Development for a period of one year to help the civil service and workforce in the public sector in Sudan acquire new skills and qualifications. The program is a unique opportunity for personal development of the participants that provides them with the skills, knowledge and experience to prepare them for a career in civil service in Sudan and to enable them to become inspiring future leaders in Sudan.

Youth (10-24) - which will reach 2 billion by
67
- The Unlimited Generation - which forms part of the United Nations Youth Strategy 2030.
The Challenge was held in 2019 in 16 countries around the world and called for requests from young people to create solutions that would support the three pillars of the Infinite Generation: Secondary education; Learning, employability and decent work skills; Empowerment, with an emphasis on girls.
Muntajatna team from Sudan was the winning team from the MENA region. Their project covered decent work and empowerment, with a focus on girls. the team offers a solution to women in Nivasha camp for internally displaced people who live in harsh environments with only one source of income - brick-making - by providing them with a platform to sell their handcrafted products to a larger audience.
The project is expected to lead to women obtaining a more dignified and adequate source of income instead of brick making, which has had negative physical, social and psychological impacts on them. In other words, Muntajatna team aims to empower girls and women in Nivasha by providing them with an additional source of livelihood to their main source of income - brick making - which is harmful to health and economically inadequate.
With the support of Sadagaat Organization and UNICEF, the challenge passed through an experimental phase in which the girls proposed to use the income generated by selling their products to establish an alternative education center in Nivasha camp, which is one of the education
68
programs implemented by Sadagaat in partnership with UNICEF in different regions.
The goal of the Nivasha Center is to empower women in Nivasha camp by equipping them with the necessary skills to meet market demand in the twenty-first century in order to make them economically independent and lead to their positive contribution to their society.
