The Charity exists to help support Manland Primary School to maintain the
quality of education against the backdrop of increases in core costs and
considerable pressure on funds provided by the Local Education Authority.
The trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity
Commission on public benefit. The trustees are satisfied that their duty to
benefit the public is being fulfilled.

achievements of the charity
during the year
Educational subscri
tions
The charity funded a package of online educational subscriptions costing
approximately £8,000 to facilitate both in class and at home learning.

The charity funded the purchase of 15 new laptops, and a charging
trolley to aid the students learning in class.
Staff Trainin
The charity funded a suite of quality training packages for members of
the school's staff continuing professional development, as well as first aid
training.

The charlty funded a selection of essential repairs to the fabric of the
school, such as th8 security gates and playground equipment.
The charity funded the production of an updated prospectus for the
school, to be distributed at the school open day for prospective new
parents.
The trustees having carefully considered the funding of these projects
considered that these are not items of expenditure which could have
been funded from core school funds as the cost of these items could not
be financed by the funding received by the school from the Local
Education Authority or the Department for Education.
