REC Elders Report
Year ending 30th September 2025
The elders were keen to see the church sustain the range of activities which
have emerged in the prevlous years, The verse adopted as a focus was I Peter
2:9- 'But you are a chosen people, a royal prlesthood, a holy natlDn, 8 people
belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out
of da rkne55 Into hls wonderful light.
KÈY Taylor contlnued in her role as Pastoral As51Stant throughout the *inaiicial
year, undertaking vlslting aiid helping drive forward both the Toddler Time and
craft group. In partlcular.
The church's well..embedded online prayer meeting every Wednesday
continued, as did the craft group meeting on Fridays, Fellowship Time on
Tuesdays, and the Toddle¥ Group for parents I carers with their children on
Wednesrlay mornings. A moiithly Saturday Games aftemoon l evening has
developed, with both regular church altendees plus others taklng part.
The rnairi Sunday servSce contlnued, The preaching was dellvered by several
members of the Riduewrly family, plus a complement of guest speal(ers. l)urlng
months containing five Sundays, the fifth Sunday wa5 again designated
estimony Suiidav. There was a rreche, a children's group and a youth group
scheduled most weeks durlng the service.
The church once again supported the local arrangements on Remembrance
Day, providing warin drinks and changlng facilities for the band.
There was the annual Christmas Carol Service in Derpmbg.r. A %pecial 5e.rvice.
also took place on Good Fridayj wSth tliurch members supporting an open-alr
5ervlce at Chingford Mount.
The elders remain keen to work wlth other churches in Chingford, Kay
attended sever<il meetings of LICF. There was a joint prayer and praise event
during the summer in Mansfield Park.
