> SORP reference This has been another challenging year, working our way through the final covid restrictions and getting back to full orchestra rehearsals.  But as usual we have risen to the challenges, securing our new rehearsal space at Tregolls School, purchasing our own Timps and putting on a lunchtime concert as part of the summer series at King

Charles the Martyr Falmouth, as well<br>as our Summer Concerto concert with<br>Madeleine Pickering in a new venue,<br>St John’s Hall, Penzance.<br>Because the orchestra had built<br>essential reserves before the<br>pandemic, it was able to keep<br>functioning throughout the previous<br>two years, other than during the<br>periods of lock-down.  This did,<br>however, result in reduced operating<br>balances. As a result of the declining<br>impact of Covid by the end of 2021,<br>the orchestra has been able to start<br>rebuilding its operating reserves.<br>Despite vacancies in some sections,<br>the number of players has stabilised,<br>and there is a full programme of<br>concerts planned for the coming year.<br>With the other changes described<br>above, the financial position is<br>expected to improve fairly rapidly,<br>and we expect the year 2022-2023 to<br>end with Cornwall Concert Orchestra<br>in a financially strong position.<br>The size of the orchestra is gradually<br>increasing as it recovers from the<br>Summary of the main  pandemic. The income of the orchestra comes mainly from members donations / The charity’s principal subscriptions and ticket sales at sources of funds Para 1.47 concerts.
