## Section D                      Achievements and erformance p

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

From April 2020, the country continued to be effected by COVID-19 and this had a significant impact on us.

Our indoor facilities remained closed until October where we slowly phased group bookings based on government restrictions and guidance. A further lockdown in late 2020 impacted us again. The majority of our groups were unable to return as it was not possible to run their sessions for various reasons. As of the end of March 2021 this was still the case.

Our outdoor facilities returned in September 2020 however there were several restrictions that remained in place and as such the number of football games we reduced. All grassroots football was further suspended in November 2020 and did not resume until April 2021.

During lockdown we were undertook various maintenance tasks around the Pavilion as the building is now 5 years old. We painted the entire interior walls and woodwork. We installed a new container for us to store our outdoor maintenance equipment.

The Football Foundation released grant funding to enable us to do repairs on our main playing pitch. We began topsoiling and redressing in March 2020 and repairs are ongoing with a completion date of August 2021.

We also received a donation from Peterborough Crime and Commissioners Office to help with our project ‘Access to Exercise’. This project began in March 2021 with a completion date of May 2021. We are installing an outdoor gym allowing our community free access to exercise. We hope that it will get used regularly by all.

**Details of any funds materially in deficit**

## **Further financial review details (Optional information)**

You **may choose** to include additional information, where relevant about:

- the charity’s principal sources of funds (including any fundraising);

Our principal source of income was significantly impacted by closures due to COVID-19. Room hire dropped by over 80% We received support from the Government by way of grants.

This allowed us to continue to invest in the facilities by purchasing further assets and equipment. We were also able to invest in the playing surface of our main pitch.

- how expenditure has supported the key objectives of the charity;

- investment policy and objectives including any ethical investment policy adopted.
