For the benefit of the public, to relieve the suffering of equines, who may be old, neglected, abandoned or otherwise, in need of care and attention, and to provide and maintain rescue homes and other facilities for the homing, care and treatment of such equines.

We accept most volunteers to help at the sanctuary. The sanctuary benefits people by developing their self-confidence and social skills in a form of animal therapy and team work. There is also a sense of importance as they are responsible for the horses and ponies at the sanctuary. We welcome all young people over the age of 14, regardless of personal background, faith, gender or personal circumstances. We hold fundraising activities to financially support the sanctuary, so that we can continue to provide and maintain rescue homes and other facilities for the homing, care and treatment of the horses and ponies that we have.

A great contribution is made by our volunteers. We are grateful for the many hours the volunteers put in, and sometimes at their own expense.

Without the volunteers, the charity will struggle to fulfil its objectives.

We aim to hold at least a thousand pounds, in reserves, in our veterinary account over the next few years as veterinary bills are one of our largest expenses.

Our main source of funds are donations from supporters.

The costs incurred are the costs associated with horse care (feed, hay, shelter in the form of land, veterinary bills, horse wear, farrier etc). As well as our volunteers donating their time to the charity, on occasion they also donate items such as feed, rugs, headcollars, etc.

All trustees and volunteers give their time voluntarily and receive no remuneration or other benefits.
