We have a strict policy on how we manage the charity’s money. 1. We have divided our charity into 4 divisions a) Basic human need support; such as food, shelter and clothes b) Educational Funding – support children who want to learn but cannot go to school due to the fees c) Marriage Support – providing financial help to families/individuals who can not afford to get married due to the costs involved d) Medical funding – financial support for curable disease 2. No trustee, volunteer is paid or allowed to expense anything 3. All major running costs are picked up the trustees. 4. Before we agree to financially support anyone we follow a 2 step guide. 1. Our volunteer visits the person and interviews them, investigates the authenticity of the situation 2. The chairman than also interviews to establish if this person is eligible. Once we are satisfied than we agree to support them. To avoid a person becoming completely reliant on us (with exceptions) we give them an initial time frame for which we will support them (generally 6 months – varies case by case). Every 3-6 months we carry out a review through visits and interviews to determine the next steps |
