Management
Slough Development Education Centre is a registered charity governed by its governing document and managed by a Board of Trustees. The trustees are responsible for the overall direction, control, and supervision of the charity’s activities. Trustees meet as required to review the charity’s
objectives, activities, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
New trustees are appointed in accordance with the governing document. Trustees are provided with information to ensure they understand their duties and responsibilities under charity law.
Objectives and Activities
Charitable Objects
The charity’s objects are: To further or benefit the residents of Slough and the neighbourhood, without distinction of sex, sexual
orientation, race, or of political, religious or other opinions, by associating together the said residents and the local
authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure. Activities and Public Benefit
During the reporting period, the charity did not carry out operational activities and did not receive or spend funds. The trustees confirm that they have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit when reviewing the charity’s objectives and future plans.
Achievements and Performance
There were no financial or programme activities undertaken during the year ending 9 December 2025. The trustees focused on maintaining compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations and reviewing the charity’s future direction.

Reserves Policy
As the charity had no income or expenditure during the year, no reserves were held. The trustees will review the reserves policy once the charity becomes operational and begins generating income.
Plans for Future Periods
The trustees intend to explore opportunities to restart activities aligned with the charity’s objectives, subject to the availability of funding, partnerships, and volunteer support. Future plans include engagement with local authorities, voluntary organisations, and community members to advance education and social welfare
initiatives in Slough.
Statement of Trustees’ Responsibilities The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Annual Report and financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations. The trustees confirm that:
