Trustees Report to AGM 25[th] November 2022 (for 2021-2022)
Objectives and Activities:
Aim: To bring people with disabilities into sport and outdoor activity with Carriage Driving and competing where able.
Achievements : People being able to hold the reins, steer and negotiate cones etc. Sense of freedom and enjoyment. Meeting other people and socialising. Working towards awards for competency and Endeavour . This past year we have not managed to run any sessions because of COVID19, the venue we use is again still occupied by the NHS as a testing and vaccination centre and we also store our carriages there. When we last ran we had six under the age of 25 participants and 14 over the age of 25. We won’t know how many we have until we re-open.
Financial Review:
The cost of the insurance and venue is covered by our weekly income and membership subscription, although this year we haven’t been able to run due to COVID19 so we haven’t had any subscriptions..Our only expenditure this year has been insurance and membership of the RDA. Other fundraising covers the extra costs although we do need to do more fundraising as our costs will have increased when we are able to restart. The detailed accounts are available at the AGM, or on request for the financial year to 31[st] March 2022 We are very grateful for donations received during the year.
The costs of the horses, shoeing, travelling etc are covered at the moment by volunteers who have funded this for the last twelve years when we started. We have no paid staff
