TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT For the year period from 01 September 2023 to 31 August 2024 THE TRUSTEES The trustees who Served the charity during the period were as follows: Jamllul Haque, Muhammad Bashlr All and Mujibur Rahman PUBLIC BENEFIT STATEMENT AND OBJECTIVES & ACTIVITIES In setting out the objectives and planning the actiwties, the trustees have given careful consideration to complying with the duty in Section 4 of the Charbties Act 2006 to have regard to the public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission. All our projects and services have continued to grow as well as some new, benefiting great many more of the community. In keeplng with objectives, we continue to develop our facilities for advance religion of Islam, advancement of education for Iixal community people. The Charity carries out wide range of activities in pursuance of its charitable aims. The trustees consider that these act?vities and benefits to provide the wider community of Northampton. The madrasah has been a place of education and leaming for the local cornmunity. Almost 30 number of pupils are taught a wide range of Islamic subjects at every week day in evening and weekend. We also prowde Social culture and recreational activities, Religious studies, Marriage ceremonies and funerals services. ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE Thanks to donors that we were able to provide more and more services, which was much appreciated by the local community people. We were also upgrade adult Islamic education services and increasing more facilities for your vulnerable children. We work with multi faith groups in order to promote social harmony and safer community. Our prime focu5 continues to be promotlng knowledge and providing much needed service5, Within its scope of operation, to all the communities. Our Open-door open.mind policy has produced many enquiries and has resulted in numerous wsits by local Schools and other groups. Various fundraising and cultural events took place during the year, in line with inter-falth and community cohesion work. FINANCIAL REVIEW The income 75 generated from donations collected from Muslim people and Muslim organisations. The incoming resources are detailed and expanded upon in the Financial Statements. INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF Shahjalal Jame Mosque and Bangladeshi Community Centre Year from 01 September 2023 to 31 August 2024 I report on the accounts of the charity for the year f rom 01 September 2023 to 31 August 2024. The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 144121 of the Charities Act 2011 {the 201 IActl, and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to: examine the accounts (under section 145(1 Ila} of the 2011 Act); to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145{51 of the 2011 Act). and to state whether particular matters have come to rny attention. BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT My examination wa5 carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charlty Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on whether the accounts present a 'true and fair view,. INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'5 STATEMENT In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention: {11 which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the trustees have not met the requirements to ensure that: Proper accounting records are kept (ln accordance with sections 130 and 131 of the Act); and Accounts are prepared which agree with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the Act. or 12) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
