We fmallsed this prolect In April 2025. In January and March we put on two events in Tesco
Hollington's C(7mmunty Room, one al)out feeling safe In publlc space and the other
focusing on Women's Heafth and Wellbelng. We Invf(ed Actfve Hastlngs and ESCC publlc
health staff to come along and taN( to the publtc al)out the offers for support k)calty. 8a¢k Ki
the town centre we held a session on Women's Heath Maklng Yours8ff Haard, a creative
workshop wtth artlst and facilitator Phoeba Wingrove vtho uses her proctlce to raise
awareness of women's heallh. Th18 was an opportunty to Come together to dlscuss thelr
challenges wSth support from medkal professtonalB and thyik about what they need to feel
heard going forward.
The final event lookkng at 88x18m and m180gyny wa$ an onllne workshop wlth Laura Bates,
author ot Everyd8y Sexlsm. Laura shared what Insplred her project and why namlng
everyday 8eXi8m mattern. We dl3cu8sed how the80 isJue8 affed our town and how wo can
take action. It was an Incredlble opportunty to hear from one of the most renowned
researGhers In th18 fleld and she offered the $888lon fr8a of charge.
NHS 8u•s•x Wom•n's Health Hub•
Off the back ofthlg V￿rk ￿ also rece￿ed fvrKllng from NHS Su&8ex ￿0 wanted to gather
feedback about Women's Heatth Hubs locally. We d￿seMInated a questlonnaire
addresslng the subject and gathered 100 respon8•8 locally. Alongside th18 ￿ ran
number of focus groups and a cre8tive workshop to explore what a *￿men'S health hub
would look like and Include. Th18 work was fed back to the NHS and the report Is avallable
on wr websSte.
Neurodlvernlty Support Group
In January 2025 we launched our ts￿Ce monthty Neurodlvef8ty Peer Support Group
meettngs at the Communlty Hub and Mlni Common Room. The fijrther funding from
Southem Water Goodwlll Fund has enabled us to keep the sessions and we
changed the forniot to the 1st and 3rd Thursday evenlng of each month. We also invited
k)cal neurodlversty coach Amber Smth to be Cowfacilitator with originator Rhea Powell.
Thls continues to be a strong support network for neurThlivergent women consrbtenty
attracting new attendee5 and ate looking into further funding to continuo this work.

In February ￿ programmed kvhy is Climate Change a FemArylst Issue? To coincKle with
our AGM FaciFtsted by Ihe Women's Environmental Nelwork (WEN). we explored *that a
gender-just gre8n economy could look Il<e arKI weflethd on environmental issues affectiig
women locally.

Our annual f8Stival, Hearme Roar, celebrated Intemational Women's Day with over 500
attend8es. Participants engaged with local communty organisations, contributed to a
collective banner, explored creative activi16es, and attended yoga classes. Special guests
Included Ckqudine E¢cl8Ston, KIN Choir. Naomi Wood, MarK8. and Apsana Begum MP,
who shared insplring words about communlty, solidarty, resistance. and hope.
A6 Part of Refugee Week In June we hosted a film NYJht screening Fr8mont, by Babak
Jalali and a number of shorts curated by Other Cinemas.

recelv8d infomiatlon and support about perkrnenopause and menopause, and enjoyed
buffet of menopauathendky food created by local nutfftlonljt Ra8 Edwards from Sunshlne
and Wellnes8.

We conthued to develop ¢)ur Voicing Expeirence resou￿ ￿rdS in partnershlp wfth our
locol NEU branch, to help teacher8 explore challenglng Issues around sexual abuse and
healthy relallonshlp8 with Ihelr 8tudents. In 2026 we launch a new pack for prlmary-
aged chlldren, alongside 8 88t of188son plans for teacher8 to accompany both the prlmary
and $6¢ondary pa¢ks. We arn 8180 ho8tlng a tralnlng $8$gbn for k)cal teachers wfth
edurAtor Anna Llncoln who developed the r080urce8 to pr8CtIc8 uslng them Y￿th groups of
students.
Women'• DIY- Do Your Id•
We were Invited by Do Your Ideas a new Crea￿Ve carpenty studlo at Beechlng Road
Studios kn Bexhlll. to pllot a new DIY course for be9inn8rs. We worked with studlo founder
Adam Burton for slx sessions leaming practical DIY skills to use around the home. Adam 1$
keen to work with us to ralse funding for further prolects supportlng drfferent groups of
women in the communty.
Communlty Stall• and Voluntsern
We had Sta118 at St Leonards F88tlval. Trans Pride Fest and Love Music Hate RaGism.
These were supported by a new group of volunteers who have been 8UPPOrtlng us at
different events throughout the year. It has béen an oTrgoing challenge to assimilate
volunteers within the way we work and will conts'nue to devek*p this offer over the next
year. Edca Smlth also stitched us a worHlerful embroidery square which is part of Hastlng$
in Stitches a new communty quilt which was on dt¥)lay In Hasthgs Museum and WHI be In
permanent mKlence In the Town Hall.

Campaignlng
We ¢onts'nue to stand in Solklarity wtth our trans friends maklng sure they know Women'8
Voice a fulty inclusive space afler both tha Supreme Court Tuling in April and the art￿1•
from Women's Rights Neiwort( in August in HIP Hastings independent n￿paper. We also
stood wth Queers for Palestine at Hastings Prldè after they were not allowed to march vAth
their supporters in the main procession. It is important on-going work in what is a divisive
time.
Fundralslng
In ordorlo raise funds for our Hear Me Roar 2025 festival we held a fvndralser dance n￿ttt
In January calw Queen of th8 D8cks wlth an all wom8n Ilnè up of DJS from acr058
g8neratlons- DebbLg Go￿, Wendy May. Lemur Beats and DJ Chabala at The Printworks.
This was a sold event with over 100 people atsnding and we ralsed £1000 for IWD. Wa
have plans to make thls an annual event.
Unlte Brewery mad• a donatlon from thalr Intematlonal Women's Day brew and Unkson.
NEU and H88Vngs Trades Councll all made small dOna￿on8 for Hear Me Roar. L8t8r In the
year we were also offered a Gh8dty partnar8hlp wtth gallery Unlt 2 In St Leonards wh08e
Incredlbie Battleaxe exhlblllon r818ed £350 for us.
Flnally we ralsed £4214 from a grant to Southem Water Goodbvdl Fund for tha contlnuallon
of our Neurodlver8ty Support Group.

Developmont
Strategy- we have updated our mlsslon, vl8lon and objacts in Ilne wmh d18CUS81ons
throughout the year. These have been based on all the activty that we have undertaken
since 2023 and will be sent to the Charity Commision. Our polki88 and procedures have
also been updated and signed off by trustees.
Our gin n 2026 is lo apply for National Lottery lunding to support the ¢apa¢lty of our team
of trustees and volunteers. Thls work Is consistenty hard to do with small amounts of
funding so we would tike to think about how we can meet our vision, maintain the strands
of worf( we have and build new partnerships going foThvard.
