continued to maintsin th¢ Hall a gr* Il listed two storry buildi￿ iwjilt in 1793. in the Centre of Petworth's M•ket

listed building.

with the Statement of Re£4)mm¢nded Practi¢e: Acwwiting and R¢FM)rting by Charities preparing their accounts
in ￿Cordance with th¢ Financial R¢porting Standard applicabl¢ in th¢ UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)
issued in October 2019. the Financial Retmxting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS
102). the Chariti¢s Act 2011 and UK Generalty Aw)unting Pjxcticc ￿ it applies from 1° January
2019. The fllwlcial statements have been pyewed under the historical cost conventiofy as modified by the
revaluation of investment&

endowed property the income generat￿ is unrestrictrAI.

the obligation can be me&surd reliably. ExFnditiwe is accounted for on an ￿rnal$ basis. inclusive of any

(g) TANGIBLE FIXED ASSETS AND DEPRECIATION
Assets costing over £150 and with a ts#ing value are capitalised and included in th¢ ￿unts at (X)sL
Improvements to propw. lifts and s¢atin8 are WTitt¢n off a strdigbt line basis over 20 year5.
Ordinary 4uipment is written off at 25Y• on a ru1￿]ng balaD¢¢ b&si4 Iwt major ¢I￿troniC ¢quipm¢nt is
written off on a straight linc basis over 10 yws.
The Grade ll listed Leconfield Hall building d*cs b￿k more than 2(K) year5 and the original cost is not
known. Whilst the rebuilding Cost is estimated at £1.75million thi5 ts not considered to be an appropriate
method for valuing the property and in view of its primary purEM)se of acting a community hall it is included
in the accounts at the deemd cost at the date it WOS transferred into the charity. No d¢preLiation is ¢harg¢d as
the Tn￿teeS consider the repairs and Tenewals charged through the Statanent of Financial Adivities to be
adequate to keep the Hall in a g(vJl sta* of repair.
(h) tNVESTMENTS
Investments are stat&1 at mid-price market value at the sh¢¢t date. The SOFA includes the J)et gains
and losses arising on revaluations and disN)sals through(yrt the year. Unrealised gains and losses are ￿lCulated
the diff¢rence l*tweett the market value at the year end and opening market value.
(i) FtrND ACCOUNTtNG
Unrestricted genernj funds . these are funds which can be used in with the charitable objects at the
discretion of the trustees.
Restricted funds can onty b¢ usd fry paTticyl8r rastyict¢d puryx)w within the objects of the charity.
Restrictions arise when s￿¢Ified by the dO￿r or when funds are rais¢d h particular r¢strictd pUT￿S¢s.
