PONTARDDULAIS TOWN JUNIORS FOOTBALL CLUB

TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT

FOR THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 1[st] 2023

The Trustees present their report and financial statements for Pontarddulais Town Juniors Football Club, a registered charity, number 1167293

The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required this year and that an independent examination only is needed. During 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 the redevelopment of the changing rooms has taken place, and this has shown an initial income and expenditure within the accounts.

ORGANISATIONS PURPOSE AND MISSION

The objects of Pontarddulais Town Juniors Football Club are: (a) to advance the amateur sport of association football. (b) to promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities for playing association football (facilities means land, buildings, equipment and organising football activities). (c) to provide and assist in providing facilities for sport, recreation and other leisure time occupation of people who have need of such facilities because of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving their conditions of life. (d) to advance the education of children and young people whether or not undergoing formal education.

ANNUAL REVIEW

We have continued our aim to improve the facilities at Coed Bach Park and following the installation of new drainage to our pitches we have this year redeveloped the changing rooms to make them more inclusive to female players. Last year (21/22) the club applied for grants to renovate the changing rooms. This project started during the last operating year and concluded in the summer of 2022. This project was a success, however, the club are making strides in phase two of this project with the future application for planning to provide another set of changing rooms and a community space.

Once again, the club is grateful for the support of the many volunteers who ensure that over 500 people can continue to play the sport that they love.

TRUSTEES STATEMENT

The Trustees are happy with the progress made by the club this year. The accounts are in a healthy position, however, this is due to the funding being granted for the Changing room project that was provided by the FAW. The Trustees are delighted that the club are investing in the facility at Coed Bach Park.
