PONTARDDULAIS TOWN JUNIORS FOOTBALL CLUB

TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT

FOR THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 1[st] 2022

The Trustees present their report and financial statements for Pontarddulais Town Juniors Football Club, a registered charity, number 1167293

The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required this year and that an independent examination only is needed. Normally the threshold for needing the clubs accounts audited is not required, however, this year the club has undertaken two significant project which has resulted in an increased expenditure. These are improvements to the drainage at Coed Bach Park and the redevelopment of the changing rooms.

ORGANISATIONS PURPOSE AND MISSION

The objects of Pontarddulais Town Juniors Football Club are: (a) to advance the amateur sport of association football. (b) to promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities for playing association football (facilities means land, buildings, equipment and organising football activities). (c) to provide and assist in providing facilities for sport, recreation and other leisure time occupation of people who have need of such facilities because of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving their conditions of life. (d) to advance the education of children and young people whether or not undergoing formal education.

ANNUAL REVIEW

The club has started to get back to its previous operations following the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic prevented young people from taking part for a significant time, but we are pleased to say that all our teams are now back to full strength.

We have continued our aim to improve the facilities at Coed Bach Park and we are delighted to have installed drainage on our pitches. This will ensure that games are on during the winter months. During the year the club also applied for grants to renovate the changing rooms. This project started during this operating year and will conclude in the summer of 2022.

Furthermore, the club has widened its reach to undertake community programmes. This has included sporting activities (and food) for young people during the school holidays.

Once again the club is grateful for the support of the many volunteers who ensure that almost 500 people can continue to play the sport that they love.

TRUSTEES STATEMENT

The Trustees are happy with the progress made by the club this year. The accounts are in a healthy position, however, this is due to the funding being granted for the drainage works which will commence in the next financial year. The Trustees are delighted that the club are investing in the facility at Coed Bach Park.
