**TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT for the year 2022** 

## Chofhs Youth Group  Charity no. 1167265 

## Objectives and Activities :- 

_Summary of purposes as set out in Chofhs Governing Document [  Constitution of a Charitable Incorporated Organisation whose only voting members are its charity trustees (‘Foundation’ model constitution)  ] :-_ 

_(1) To help young people, especially but not exclusively through leisure time activities, so as to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society._ 

_(2) To provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life.'_ Summary of main activities :- 

_The provision of a club for the young people of Brough, Cumbria and surrounds with activities supervised by a part time Youth Worker._ 

## Achievements and performances :- 

_Chofhs Youth Group changed to a CIO in May 2016._ 

_The Youth Group acquired the Cornerstone Centre building in Brough in 2016, which they previously_ 



_leased. The building is available for community use outside Youth Group hours._ 

_The Youth group is fortunate to be able to employ a dedicated and conscientious part time paid Youth Worker. Through the running of the charity, young people in the area have benefited from their meeting together in a supervised environment and from their involvement with the activities offered. The Group has been successful in obtaining several grants relevant to  specific purchases, activities, salary and running costs._ Financial Review :- 

_The financial position of the Youth Group is healthy owing to the incoming grants and donations._ 

_The children have enjoyed going on trips especially the Blackpool pleasure beach ._ 

_We have all the same members on the committee working hard in all their roles. The Post Office and Art Group are still using the centre so giving us a good income,,_ 

Structure, Governance and Management :- 

_Chofhs Governing Document is a Constitution of a Charitable Incorporated Organisation whose only voting members are its charity trustees (‘Foundation’ model constitution)_ 

_Every trustee must be appointed for a term of three years by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees. In selecting individuals for appointment as charity trustees, the charity trustees must have regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the CIO._
