Activities
PILAR works with researchers, students, and clinicians in the Philippines and Indonesia to: provide access to educational and research resources; provide opportunities to undertake research into chronic and age-related disease and healthcare delivery; and advocate improvements in the scientific research, education, and healthcare systems of both the Philippines and Indonesia.
Objects: (1) To Advance Education In The Fields Of Natural Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, And Medicine ? For The Benefit Of Early-Stage Academic Researchers And Students In Or About To Enter Higher Education In The Philippines, Indonesia, And, When Financial Resources Permit, Other Countries In South East Asia That The Trustees May Consider Appropriate, By Means Of Collaboration On And Management Of Research Projects And The Provision Of Advice, Research Resources, Workshops, And Merit-Based Funding To Individuals, Projects, And, When Financial Resources Permit, Higher Education Institutions;(2) To Advance Health By Conducting Research Into All Aspects Of Chronic Disease And Its Management, And To Disseminate The Useful Results Of Such Research In Peer-Reviewed Publications, At Scientific Meetings, And Other Relevant Media;(3) To Advance Science By Conducting Scientific Research And Improving And Advocating The Improvement Of Scientific Research Capabilities Among And Resources For Early-Stage Academic Researchers And Higher-Education Students In The Philippines And Indonesia.
