Financial Review

Review of the charity’s
financial position at the end
of the period
Para 1.21 The charity’s receipts were comparable to
the prior year owing to the ongoing support
of its main benefactor, as well as our ability
to host several events during this year.
The start of the year included the annual
‘awards night’ where the main distributions
to our nominated charities are made with a
second distribution paid in the Summer of
2024. For this financial year, several
smaller donations were made to local
charities supporting their aims which are all
aligned to our values.
The above distributions and donations lifted
our payments to such causes to £27,610
compared to £8,100 in 2022/23.
Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held
Para 1.22 The policy for distributing funds is to make
two payments during the financial year. As
such any reserves held at the financial year
end relate to the timing of receipts against
the timing of the distributions. Reserves
held at the year end will be distributed in
the following financial year. The charity
does not have a policy of intentionally
holding reserves.
