Para 1.20 The trustees have supported four
Midland based charities this year with
the funds it has managed to raise. It has
focused on fund raising activities and
developing new relationships with the
charities which the Foundation was to
support this coming year.
A number of fund raising events had to
be cancelled due to the restrictions
imposed because of the Covid
pandemic. A virtual comedy evening
was run, all the funds being donated to
Network 4.
Additional fund raising was achieved
through dress down days and ad hoc
donations.
The four nominated charities (The
Orchestra of the Swan, Cheltenham
Open Door, Stratford Food Bank and
Network 4) mainly received their
distributions after the financial year and
so these payments are not included in
the accounts for this financial period.

Para 1.21 The total funds received in the year was
significantly greater than prior years.
During the financial year, the foundation
was developing links with new
beneficiaries prior to distribution of
funds.
The charity ended the year with
undistributed funds of £17,612. The
trustees propose to distribute the
majority of this in the current financial
year.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Lodders Charitable Foundation for the year ended 31 October 2020.

Responsibilities and basis of report

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
