socially exduded and assisting them to integrate into society. Yor the
purpose of this clause 'socially exduded. means being excluded from
society, or parts of society. as a result of one of more of the following factors:
unemployment- financial hardship- youth or old age- ill heafth (physical or
mental). discrimination on the grounds of race, disability, ethnic origin,
religion, belief, creed, poor educational or skills attainment,. relationship and
family breakdown.. poor housing (that is housing that does not meet basic
habitable standards.. crime {either as a victim of crime or as an offender
rehabilitating into society), single pa￿ntS and their children who are socially
exduded as a result of their social and economic position.,
6) to seek to enhan￿, the good health, both mental and physical, of adults
and children by increasing public awareness of the b8nefit of committed
couple relationships, marriage, and family life and working to prevent
poverty, hardship and distress G9used by the breakdown of such
relationships.
The charlty carries out a wide range of activities in pursuance of its
charitable aims. The trustees consider that these activities, summarised
below, provide benefit both to those who uses our community centre and
the wlder community of Uxbrldge and nelghbouring cltles.
West LorKlon Researth & Public Awareness Society is a charity committ8d
to the educational support and promding free complementary education
program>for people in Uxbridge area. We champion and serve the primary
goal advancing the education of the public in the subjects of English
Language. Life in the UK and several ethnic languages. We strongly believe
that this will promote social friendships and strong interpersonal skills in the
future. Only through good personal relationships thal requires good language
skills, people can develop mental and moral capabilities to achieve their
goals in life.

The supplementsry educational support out of school hours which is
provided by our community members and teachers on a voluntary basis act
as crucial infomiation and advocacy points for adults as well as children in
our region. The language courses we provide are designed to improve the
level of English of those who struggle to communicate and educate. Our
programs aim for raising aspirations and engagement that are essential
components to remove the language barrier hence redu￿ng failures in the
classroom or at VK)rk.
West LorKlon Researth & Public Awareness Society provides a program that
is in direct response to the growing number of young people that are failing
to develop the necessary communiGgtion skills because either they do not
have advanced English language skills or understanding of the culture and
soctal norms in the UK. West London Research & Public Awareness Society
will focus primarily on young people with the aim of advancing community
development through language and cultural education. The focus is slightly
different at each level but the goal remains the same,. prepare and empower
the youro person to make positlV8 d￿ng8S in hislh8r life.

CULTURAL ACTiwfiES:
The community centre provides place for our prayers and worship and for th8
activities associated with our faith. During the year under ￿vIeW, we offered and
conducted a rang8 of religious and cultural services and activibes induding..
Festlvals: our centre prepares foc*J during holy m¢Mth for thos8 attending our
activities and wish to break their fast together. Religious festivals i.e. Eid was
also celebrated at our centre with a family day and ¢ommunal meal.
EDUCATION I TRAINING ACTMfiES
Our community centre hall and rooms provide a valuable educational and
recreational resource to all in our l¢xal community. A wide range of activrties are
organised and take place from our community centre.
Turkish language ¢oursos: Turkish Consulate General in London appointed a
Turkish language teacher to teach Turkish language and culture to pupils and
adults at ¢)ur Community Cent￿.
Supplementary school and homework support: at weekends and during
school holidays a supeNised homework dub is supported and supervised by
volunteers and over 35 children regularly attend the club.
LEISURE AND SPORT ACTIVITIES
People at every age group need leisure and sport activities to develop friendship
and social skills that will improve their confidence in communicating to others.
These extracurricular activities are essential part of the program to practice the
language and communication skills young people d8velop al the dassrooms.
Sports. along wtth enhancing health and fitness. would enable people especially
young people to use all their senses and by choosing 5PQrts in their lives. young
people can not only become physically stronger but also emotionally tougher.

Summary of the main
achievements of the charlty
during the year
Volunteers are an important resource in cornmunty work. This year our Charity
has achieved to reach over 700 Turkish speaking people in Uxbridge and
surrounding cities. This helped us increase our number of volunteers who then
helped us organise and conduct more charitable and fund-raising activities*than
last year. Volunteers are invc4ved in most of our community activities and we
have now over 45 people regularly giving their time.

charity (Ihe Trust") for the year ended 3111012024
