West London Research & Public Aw8raness Society is a charity commrtted
to the educational support and pro￿lding free complementary education
programs for people in Uxbridge area. We champion and serve the primary
goal advancing the education ol the public in the subjects of English
Language, Life in the UK and several ethnic languages. We strongly believe
that this will promote social friendsh1ps and strong interpersonal skills in the
future. Only through good personal relationships that requires good language
ski115. people can dev8lop mental and moral capabilities tts achieve their
goals in lifè.

The supplernèntary education81 support out of school hours whith is
provided by our community members and teachers on a voluntary basis aet
as cruaal information and advocacy points for adults as well as children in
our region. The langLJage courses we provide are designed to improve the
level ol English of those who struggle to communiGqte and educate. Our
programs aim for raising aspirations and engagement that are essential
components to remove the language barrier hence reducang failures in the
classroom or at work.
West London Research & Public Awareness Society provide5 a program that
is in direct response lo the growing number of young people that are failing
to develop the necessary communication skills because either they do not
have advanced English language skills or understanding of the culture and
social nomis in the UK. West London Research & Public Awareness sO￿ty
will focus primarily tsn young people with the aim of advancing community
development through language and cultural education. The focus is slightly
différent at each lévèl but the goal remains Ihe same," prepare and empx)wer
the young person lo make positive changes in hislher life.

The community centre provide5 place for OUT prayers and worship and for the
activities as50aated wth our faith. During the year under review. we offered and
conducted a range of religious and cultural services and activities including".
F•stivals'. our centrè prep8res food during holy month for those attending our
activities and wish to break their fast together. Religious leslivals i.e. Eid was
elso celebrat•d at our eentre wilh a farnily day and comrnunal meal.

Volunleers are an irnportanl resource in comrnunty work. This year our Charty
has achieved to reach over 600 Turkish speaking people in Uxbridge and
surrounding cits"es. This helped u5 increase our llumber of volunteers who then
helped us organise and conduct more charitable and fund-raising a¢U'vities than
last year. Volunteers are involved in m05t ol our cornmunity activities and we
have now over 40 people regularly giving their tirn8
