Salicaf Foundation has no collection anymore due to the fact that the mosques where we used to ask for collections have changed their management staff and they do not give us any collection possibility. They need to renovate the mosque and they need money too. They also said they need to pay bills, water, electricity, Gas, wifi, and they are very high.

Legal and Administrative details:

Governing Instrument:

Salicaf Foundation is constituted as registered charity in the United Kingdom and governed by a constitution as said above.

Membership is open to interested individuals accepted into membership by the trustees, following completion of a prescribed membership form.

Trustees

The Foundation’s work is directed by a board of trustees, who approve the policy for the organisation but is in control of the executive Director.

The activities of the foundation are conducted and overseen by the trustees themselves who meet when required in order to determine the order of the projects for the children. That means to determine which project must come first and which one next.

However it is important to clarify that all activities have been suspended apart from meetings about projects and buying of items by a member of the trustee with his own money (salary).

As mentioned above, the collection of funds at Al-Rahma Mosque in Liverpool has stopped because the trustees of the mosque need funds to renovate the mosque and pay the bills which are now so high, they said.

During the year the activities have been managed by 4 trustees’ members in administration field, ideas, and seek for advice from other charities having the same aspiration. For more information about the members please visit our website www.salicaffoundation.co.uk and click on Founders.

Objectives of Salicaf Foundation

Our objectives consist to relief poverty, to advance the education of children in Africa and to relief severe sickness a child could suffer from by providing him or her grant for healing. We provide items and services to individuals (children) in need and/or charities or other organisations working to relieve poverty, advance education and relieve sickness too.

Public Benefit statement

When planning our activities we have considered guidance from Charity commission to ensure we meet our public benefit requirements. In our case the benefit is for children in Africa to start with Togo last year and this year, then Sudan, Guinea Conakry and Djibouti. As this year 2025 to 2026 the activities have been very few. However, the trustee members have met on 10th January 2026 and plan new activities to do, that of delivering item to children in Togo. Attached are the photographs below.

REVIEW OF THE YEAR ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED BY SALICAF FOUNDATION

Salicaf Foundation trustee members have physically met on 10th January 2026 and discuss about variety of activities in order to achieve its objectives positively.

Also on 23[rd] January 2026 the Trustee members have had a meeting and have packed the items of the children in Togo and and they are ready to be sent over to Togo through JGS shipping Services. The purchases of the items and shipping were paid by trustee members with their own money gain from their job.

a.- Meetings

Many meetings have been held during the year via telephone and social media, what’s up, and Microsoft program and sometimes via telephone conversations but as mentioned above on 10th January 2026 a quick physical meeting has been held at the main office of Salicaf Foundation as well as on 23[rd] January 2026.

Important points have been raised up:

-How to improve our activities

-How to relaunch our activities

-How to find new areas of fund raising

-What are needed to facilitate our meetings for advice and maintain of the charity objectives and how to get new fund raising sources.

b.) Projects

Since we hold our meeting the trustees’ members have decided to start some little fundraising in the mosques. In this regards some applications have been sent to 3 different mosques, and we are expecting to receive their answers for collection specially during this Month (February and March 2026) of Ramadan. If a Mosque allows Salicaf Foundation to do the collection the Charity Commission will be informed. Up to now we did not receive any answer yet.

d.)Salicaf Foundation working equipment

1.)T-shirts and Advertisement Board.

During our last meeting the trustee members have decided not to make-up more T-shirts again because of lake of finance. However the old ones we have are still in good condition to use for any event.

Attached are the photographs of our last year advertisement board and our T-shirts.

c.) Financial activities

Some shops where we put our collection boxes before have closed down and our collection boxes get lost. We need to buy new ones and replace them in some other shops.

Mosques that are our main centres of collection especially Al-Rahma Mosque could not offer as a chance for collection anymore because they money as well to pay their bills that are very huge now because there are 3 times Muslims than years before and all of them use water, electricity and gas. Their bills are very huge.

d.) Fund raising activities

The fundraising has not been done this year 2025-2026. We pay the website monthly and we pay the shipping of items with our own money we gain from our work salary.

The Trustees of Salicaf Foundation have contacted many people for volunteer work in this year. Some have accepted to work with the organisation, Salicaf Foundation’s trustees are willing to have a business centre where second-hand items can be sold and the money can be used for the charity purposes but to get the funding is at the moment hard.

J-Conclusion

In this year 2021-2022 Salicaf Foundation has not carried out enough activities. Most of the trustees’ members are very vulnerable to the covid-19 pandemic at the point that everyone just focused on his own activities and is careful to the contamination.
