Chairnian's Statement Assalamu alaikum. I want to begin by thanking Allah for granting me the opportunity to serve the Mosque, our holy place of worship. I would also like to extend my gralitude to my felk>w trustees for the contributions of their valuable time and effort beiween 1 January 2021 arHJ 31 Derntser 2021. In addrtion, l a0 thank our members for their MmItMent aTKI for giving us the chance to seNe the Masjid, our fellow Muslims. and the local communty. May Allah graciously reward everyone for their efforts. We seek Allah's forgiveness for any mistakes we may have made as trustees of the Masjid, and we are always open to suggestions for further improvement and development of our holy pla of worship. Weekend Maktab 181amlc Classes for Children In our efforts to fulfil the Islamic educational needs of the local community's children, we have maintsined the curriculum previously set. The children's classes are running smoothly and are produang excellent results. Safety is the upmost priority; therefore we continue to ensure sc¥ne members of the Board of Trustees are present when parentslguardians drop off and collect their children. Eid& ummah Pra Several COVID-19 restrictions had been in pla in throughout 2021 in public places induding our Masjid. In this year (2021) Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha prayers were also fulfilled in the Masjid, and we ensured our Masjid was cOv-safe. We ensured social distancing during all communal prayers and offered fa masks at the entran. We adhered to all govemrnent guidelines
on COVID-19 in plaS of worship. The Masjid still continued to provide hand sanitiser and face masks to attendS before the Jummah (Friday) prayers well into the following year. Settin Out Cones For Jummah Frida Pra ers We maintsined the practice of placing cones across the pavemenl arKI near the driveways on Cranmer Road to avoid congestion and Inconvenien to our neighbours. Noxt Door Buildin Work By the grace of Allah the Akmhty. in 2021 we began construction work in the building next door. This includes work to build a kitchen, mortuary, wudhu (ablution) area, toilets, conference room, stsircase and an Of room. Funds and Donations In addition to collecting donations on Fridays, many community members have set up monthty standing orders for contributions to the Masjid to help ensure a stable income to meet the day-to-day expenses. We want to take the opportunity to Ihank all those individuals and businesse5 who have contributed so far and pray that Allah acpts their donations, and blesses them in all their endeavours. While it is undoubledly a great privilege. it is also an enomious responsibility. As human beings. we are prone to mistakes. We ask Allah to forgive our mistakes and shortcomings in serving His house of worship. We sk His assistan in all matters. Basis of independent My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given examiner’s statement by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
