ABSTINENCE BASED RECOVERY TRUST CHARITY NUMBER – 1167161 23.11.24

ANNUAL GERNERAL MEETING Location : Victory Services Club, London

Present : Chip Somers(CS), Lisa Climie-Somers(LCS) Christian Geelmuyden(CG)

  1. The accounts were presented and accepted (Unanimous vote)

  2. A discussion was held again about the viability of the charity. CS reported that as of June 7[th] the charity would be running an online support group every Friday evening.

  3. There is an expectation that this will generate a small revenue from donations.

  4. All Trustees agreed that it has been hard to maintain enthusiasm as plans have often failed to come to fruition about major opportunities.

  5. A one minute TV film has been produced and has been made available on line. It is hoped that this too will generate interest.

  6. The Trustees voted on whether to continue the charity and all 3 voted in favour of doing so.

  7. It was recognised that the group provision will be a major step forward in allowing the charity to fulfil its mission of providing support for people with alcohol and drug problems.
