## **Trustees Annual Report Period 2022/2023** 

## **Purposes of the charity as set out in the governing document** 

To advance the education of the public in, and promote research in, urology and the treatment and management of bladder and urological conditions. 

## **Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes for the public benefit:** 

The Charity strives to continue to advance the education of the public into urology treatments, research and bladder and urological conditions. In 2022/2023 21 participants took on the challenge of cycling in Slovenia called Drop Dead Gorgeous. They cycled through the mountains and around Lake Bled. This enabled funds to be raised for The Parnell Fund and also promoted the charity and raised awareness. 

A bursary was also given to a medical student last year who used the money to attend a conference in USA. 

## **Statement of guidance** 

In planning our activities for the year we kept in mind the Charity Commissions guidance on public benefit at our trustee meetings. 

## **Achievements** 

The main achievement for the Parnell Fund over the past year is the cycling challenge in Slovenia which raised money for the Parnell Fund. 

## **Principal source of funding** 

Our main source of funds this year has been from the 4 day cycling challenge in Sardinia.
