Purposes of the charity as set out in the governing document
To advance the education of the public in, and promote research in, urology and the treatment and management of bladder and urological conditions.
Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes for the public benefit:
The Charity strives to continue to advance the education of the public into urology treatments, research and bladder and urological conditions. In 2020/2021 15 participants took on the challenge of cycling in Italy called Lean on Me. This enabled funds to be raised for The Parnell Fund and also promoted the charity and raised awareness.
Statement of guidance
In planning our activities for the year we kept in mind the Charity Commissions guidance on public benefit at our trustee meetings.
Achievements
The main achievement for the Parnell Fund over the past year is the cycling challenge in Italy which raised money for the Parnell Fund. Fewer participants took place this year due to COVID restrictions in place both in the UK and in Italy.
Principal source of funding
Our main source of funds this year has been from the 4 day cycling challenge in Italy.
