people living on Christchurch, Dorset
and, In particular, the Somerford Ward,
by provlding advlce and assistance and
organising programme8 of physlcal,
educatlonal and oth8r activities as a

helping them by developing thelr 8klll8,
capaciti8s and capabilities to
enable them to partlclpate In socloty as
Independent, mature and responslble
Indlviduals;
(B) Advanclng Education;
(C) Rèlieving unern.ployment' and
(D) Preventing them from
b•coniing soclally excludad by reason
of thelr youth, age, Inflrmlty or dlsability,
flnanclal hardship or 80clal
circumstances.
All with the object of Improvlng thelr
conditions of Ilfe.
To relleve th& needs of young people
and thelr families Ilving in Christchurch,
Dorset and the Somerford ward, by such
charitable rneans as tho Trustses see fit
from time to time
We have provlded a youth club and
related social and recreatlonal activities
durlng evenlngs, after school time and
durlng school holldays I'o over 400 local
young people. Most young people who
come to the centre are local from the
estate where w8 are located which Is an
area which experiences hlgh levels of
multiple deprivation. Many young
peoplv have low self-esteem and low
levels of confidence so the projects and
activities we run are aimed at Increasing
self-confidence and este,em as well as
other 80ft skills which a

Improve skills for Ilfe and have better
outcomes. As many of our young people
are also from families who are on low
income the activitie3, we provide at the
centre are low cost 80 that they can be
accessed by as many of the community
reducing affordability a8 a barriar. In
addition to this, we Gover costs for
thos8 families and young people to
engage In projects where we know they
face severe hardshlp. As a result of
providing more servlces to young
people we have had to increase the
number of volunteers we have working
at the centr8 and nearly all of these have
Gorne from the local community
reducing isolation and providlng people
with something different to do.

We provlde 7 youth club sessions a
week during school term time and 2
sessions a week durlng school holiday
tlme. This has provided a valuable
resource for over 300 local young
people.
We are also providing an activity
programme every day throughout the
school holidays.
We conllnue to provlde voluntserlng
opportunities for local people, a number
of thes8 are our older young people who
attend the older youth club 8888ions.
We continue to run our Stay and Play
8esslon8 for paronts and their
pr8school chlldren whlch has provlded
a social and educatlonal hub for over 30
famllles.
We run a communlty food project called
The People's Pantry run by local
volunteers which is a step- up from a
foodbank which can bo accessed by
local families even If they are not
eligible to receive state beneflts and
hav8 a marnbership of 500+. We have a
member8hlp wlth Fareshare, a natlonal
food reduction charlty. Our work wlth
the Local authority incr8as88 in
provldlng mentorlng support for young
people who are not In malnstream
education eithgr because of school
refusal or thay have b8en permanently
excluded. We have also Seen an
Increase in parents home 8¢hoollng
their children due a lack of confidence

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounls carried out
under Section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I

come to my attention in connection with the axamination (other than that
