The 2023~2"4 year shows manc.hester Collectiye to be an organisation that 15" maturing. which rema4ns financially
vulnerable. Joining the National PortFolio of."Arts Council EngL3nd gave us much-needed predictab1ity around grant
inconie, altho￿gh this pubfic fundÈng still only meets around 15% of costs. A reprofillng of Arts Council Tunding, weighted
towards the first year in the 3-year cyd.e. he5ped relieve pr￿stsre on cash flow. but with prudent budgEting and rigorous
control of costs. we have managed to.end the year those reprofiled"funds.intacL
Through the year we continued to suffer the effect of polttscal instsbility. general inflation. and the"kn"ock-on effect this
has had on touring costs. venue performance fees and Budfrence behaviour. We re￿We no local authority support and
the intrea5e I￿"COmpetitio￿ for g"rarrt support fiom tsusts and fouDdations which was not1￿ble in .2022-23, became
more ac￿te h 202>24 as many"maior arts organi5ations formerfy tn the Nar￿nal "P"ortfolio either105t their funding
