## The Culpin Foundation - supporting sustainable life on Earth ## **ANNUAL REPORT - 2021-2022** ## **Trustees: Peter Alfred Culpin BSc MA VetMB MRCVS, Stuart McFarlane, Sian Withey** On 26th May 2021 the Pets Naturally veterinary clinic, that has supported the Foundation since its registration, was sold to a corporate veterinary group. This means that funding from the clinic will no longer be available, but our Trustees, Peter Culpin and Stuart McFarlane have agreed to continue to support the charity personally for the time being until their new company - Pets Naturally Healthcare Limited - is launched, whereupon a formal link between the Foundation and the company will be formed to provide further funding going forward. The details of this will be published in our next Annual Report once finalised. The Foundation has received support this year from Stuart McFarlane, who has covered all administrative expenses for the charity to the tune of £9743 and in addition has paid personally for the advice received from Saffery Champness. Approximately £3,000. We have had discussions with Elizabeth Martin and with accounting firm Saffery Champness regarding reclaiming Gift Aid. Elizabeth works part time for another charity and is fully conversant with Gift Aid rules and has agreed to help us in reclaiming any outstanding Gift Aid from the last four years. We have identified ‘One Time Creative’ as a design and marketing company able to assist with future projects. The founder, James Florence, has, himself, a charity focussing on many similar projects to ourselves and we hope to forma close relationship with his charity in the future to expand our reach. Our new logo, designed by Henrietta Flood incorporates visually our intended project focus and the font used for the strap line ‘-supporting sustainable life on Earth’ was obtained from ‘Homeless Fonts’, a charity organisation in Barcelona helping people living on the streets to find a purpose. Anna Maria is the designer of the font and the details of the project and of Anna Maria can be found at www.homelessfonts.org The cost of acquiring the font provided a donation to the charity and was funded by Pets Naturally. During 2023 we hope to launch our Malaria Appeal and will aim to partner with the ‘Against Malaria Foundation’ to provide bed nets to protect children from this deadly disease.
