The object of the AOMUK is to advance the education of the pupils at Mahinda College, Galle, Sri Lanka in such ways as the trustees think fit, in particular, by awarding scholarships and/or providing Computers, sports or laboratory equipment to the school.

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

Provided the following for the benefit of the Students at Mahinda College, Galle, Sri Lanka.

  1. Monetary support for disadvantaged students.

Due to the poor economic standard these students have insufficient support from their families to fulfil their needs required to gain education comfortably. The monetary support from the AOMUK enables them to buy textbooks for their studies or for transport to attend classes. AOMUK supported 12 students in the year.

The AOMUK maintains some fixed deposits accounts at Hatton National Bank (HNB) Sri Lanka with relatively higher interest, which is used in turn for the benefit of the students.
