Provision Is offered for funded education and private places for children aged 2, 3 & 4 years okl. Children with special educati￿al needs and/or disabilities as well as children with English as an additionat4ry¥we 5UPPOrted. There is a staff of seven employèes who hold relevant qualifications in Early Years. The Athelstan Nursery chan8ed its Charlty status to a ao in 2016. F(rll adoption took effect followlng the AGM in 2017. Day to day management is undertaken by the manager who Is responslble to the Trustees. The membership of the nursery is families olattendin8 children and other advlts with an interest in the nursery. The Trustees are in regular contact with each other and meet with the manager and deputy manager at least once a tern? and are present at general meetings which parents and carers are welcome to attetKI. Issues arising within the setting are raised through the Manager wlth the Trustee5 havin8 the final say. All staff and Trustees hold valid and current DBS checks. Sharoft stepped down as our Treasurer In the sprln8 and we were joined during the year by two new Trustees, Patrick and Sally. We continue to strug8le to find and recrult new Trustees arKI also to fill the Treasures post. Also malntsiniro an old bulldlng can be challer6rn8 at times. At Christmas we held a performance of children sln8 festive songs and had a party for them during which Father Christmas visitéd. A scavenger hunt with a spring theme was held at Easter. An end of year olebration was held in July wlth a re￿rn vlstt from the ice trèam van. We continue to receive very positive feedback from past Pa￿ntS. ￿ceptIOn class teathers and othèr professlonals in the Early Years field. We als08ain from ￿0MmendatIOnS and the posltlve reputation that we hold in the local communty and have not needed to advertise. We held our AGM in May which wa5 very well attended. Our rmproved finances allowed us to give Stsff a bonus both at Christma5 afKI again in July as a thank you for all their hard work. We were also able to replace the fioorin8 in the bathroom and kitchen and purchase a new fridge.
