The Trustees would like to thank the staff of the school who helped to make the events a huge success. The funding model this year continued to be entirely donation and sponsor led. After the initial success of the sponsor programme income dropped to £15,855 (prior year was £21,978) as donations from participants fell from an average of £4.52 in 2022 to £2.51 in 2023. Donations totalling £2,600 to local schools to help support the purchase of sports equipment was the principal factor behind costs increasing to £19,141 (prior year £16,270). This decision was made due to the large cash balance carried forward which was larger than the annual cost of running the charity. Despite the loss in the year the charity should remain self-funding for at least another two years. **TAR** March **2012** 4 Section E Financial review Brief statement of the charity's policy on reserves It is the policy of the chanty wherever possible to try and close each financial year with SLrffiGient reseNes to fund the following years event(s).
