Section D                      Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

After the disappointment of having to cancel the event in 2020 it was pleasing to get the games on in 2021. That said, due to the relatively late lifting of restrictions planning started much later than would normally be the case and income in particular suffered as a result because there wasn’t the usual amount of time to rally support from local businesses and sponsors.

Costs were kept as low as possible but the charity reported a loss in the year of £3,368. This was easily absorbed by available cash reserves and the charity remains well placed to continue to provide sporting events for at least the next two years.

There are no restrictions on the funds and the purpose to which they can be used to service the objectives of the charity.

**Details of any funds materially in deficit**

No funds are in deficit.

## **Further financial review details (Optional information)**

You **may choose** to include additional information, where relevant about:

- the charity’s principal sources of funds (including any fundraising);

- how expenditure has supported the key objectives of the charity;

This year the charity relied more heavily on registration fees as donations from local businesses and other charitable sources were unable to be secured due to insufficient time. This is something that organisers are looking into improving in the coming years.

All money raised is used to facilitate the charitable purposes of the charity and no trustees and / or members are remunerated for their services which are provided entirely voluntarily.

- investment policy and objectives including any ethical investment policy adopted.

## **Section F Other optional information**
