## Activities

**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS THE PROMOTION AND PROTECTION OF GOOD HEALTH AMONG PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM PELIZAEUS-MERZBACHER DISEASE (PMD) AND GENE-LINKED DISORDERS KNOWN AS THE LEUKODYSTROPHIES, CHARACTERISED BY MYELIN SHEATH ABNORMALITIES, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PROVIDING INFORMATION, ADVICE, PRACTICAL SUPPORT AND GRANTS OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO SUCH PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS.

**Activities:** Our aim is simple, we want to provide factual information to families who have been given PMD as a diagnosis. Enable them to connect with other families and share stories, milestones, advice and feel less isolated and scared. We achieve this through our website, Facebook page and meetings.
