Trustees<br>issued by the Charity  meet to discuss about the Association’s<br>Commission on public  business, ongoing projects and funding<br>benefit  application periodically to ensure it is in line<br>with the Association’s document and the<br>Charity Commission’s guidance.<br>**----- End of picture text -----**<br>




BGNA trustees monitor its activities, and deal with any issue as they arise. All newly appointed trustees and volunteers receive full induction as per BGNA handover/takeover procedures, which have been prepared in line with their post roles, and will be made aware of Guidance - CC3, PB1, PB2 & PB3 etc. The Association seeks advice from CVS Brent, local authorities, other charity organisations and relevant expertise/departments as and when needed. Trustees meet from time to time to discuss about BGNA businesses in order to allocate resources carefully and mitigate any risks.

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|The Association conducted a number of<br>activities during this reporting period.<br>Below is a summary of activities it carried<br>out.<br><br>A Zoom meeting was organised on<br>03/04/2022 to discuss for the<br>preparation of Nepali New Year<br>celebration.<br><br>2ndZoom meeting on 17/04/2022.<br><br>Nepali New Year celebrated on<br>23/04/2022, a total of 146 people<br>attended.<br><br>Post Nepali New Year meeting on<br>07/05/2022.<br><br>Council’s You Decide Decision Day<br>funding presentation attended on<br>12/07/2022 at the Brent Civic Centre.<br><br>A virtual meeting carried out on<br>01/08/2022 to confirm bookings and<br>coaches for the Botany Bay visit.<br><br>An outdoor event- coach visit to Botany<br>Bay was organised on 07/08/2022.<br><br>Another meeting was conducted on<br>30/08/2022.<br><br>Another meeting on 15/09/2022.<br><br>Diwali (Tihar) celebrated at Tamu<br>Samaj Bhwan in Wembley Barham<br>Park on 26/09/2022.<br><br>19/10/2022, participated in CVS Brent<br>Engaging and enabling Brent’s VCSE<br>sector through advocacy,<br>organisational development, and<br>fundraising support session at the<br>Brent Civic Centre.<br><br>Engaged in the RBL poppy appeal<br>campaign between 26 October –12<br>November 2022.<br><br>Took part in the Remembrance Day<br>Parade at Wembley Barham Park on<br>13/11/2022.<br><br>AGM organised and attended on<br>15/01/2023.<br><br>Executive meetings along with trustees<br>took place from time to time manage<br>the organisation.|

Review of the charity’s  Para 1.21  01/04/ 2022 – 31/03/2023<br>financial position at the end<br>of the period<br>Statement explaining the  Para 1.22  BGNA has developed a reserves policy in<br>policy for holding reserves  order to protect its finances and they are<br>stating why they are held  cautiously managed, and its activities are<br>sustainable.<br>Reserves usually exclude tangible fixed<br>assets such as land, building and other<br>assets held for the charity’s use. It also<br>excludes amounts designated for essential<br>future spending.<br>They also exclude funds, which have<br>particular restrictions on how they can be<br>used.<br>BGNA puts some funds aside as a reserve<br>fund to protect itself against drops in<br>income or to take advantage of new<br>opportunities.
