Shrewsbury Orthodox Church Appeal Foundation - 1166735 The charity’s aims and the objectives remain unchanged. That is to advance the Greek Orthodox Religion in Shrewsbury and the surrounding area for the benefit of the public through, and in particular but not exclusively, the provision of a place of worship. During the year there have been no major fundraising drives. During the year the charity has worked towards plans for the development of the Church so as to enable the accommodation of the increasing number of members. Professional advisors have been engaged and pre application planning permission has been submitted. It was well received. We are now working on information to our neighbours. Regular meetings of the Trustees have been difficult due to Covid. We are hopeful that in the future normal meetings can be resumed. Electronic communications have played and important part during this period.
