LEICESTER COMMUNITY ASSIST TRUSTEES, REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2025 The Irustees present their port with the finanual slatements of the charity for the year ended 31 st March 2025. The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charits'es= Slalement of Recommended Practice applicable lo charities preparing accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS 1021 {effective 1 January 2019.) The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the relevant accounting policies and comply with Leicester Community Assist, applicable law and other requirements. OBJECTS OF THE CHARI Leicester Community Assist is a charity with the following objectives: The prevention or relief of povetry in the UK by providing.. grants. ilems and SeNiS to individuals in need and charities, or other organizations working to prevent or relieve povety. The promotion of religious harmony for the benefit of the public by educating the public in different religious beliefs including an awareness of their distinctive features and their common ground to promote good relations between people of different faiths. To advance the Islamic religion in the UK for the benefit of the public through the holding of prayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of religious festivals, producing and distributbng literature on Islam to enlighten others about the Islamic religion. To promote any other charitable purpose for the benefit of those in need that the trustees from time to time determine. To achieve these aims Leicester Community Assist has organised and been involved in various activities as described later. ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE Charitable activities Eid Festivals Eid Festivals were held twice a year, and all members of the local communty, regardless of race, religion or background were welcomed. Attendance was in excess of 20k. and activities were provided for all ages. Three of the trustees registered a new charity by the name of"Eid Prayers and Festival (EPF) wilh the charity commission on 20nd February 2024. The EPF will be responsible for operating Eid Festivals in the subsequent YE Educational Talks Regular educational talks on varK)us topics are held which benefit several members of the local community each week. Charitable Grants Grants have been provided for other registered charities involved in povety relief work. We provided a grant to our Sister Registered Charity'Eid Prayer and Festival" to take over the responsibility of Eid Prayers and FestlV< Local Communlty Ald DI¢1 aid has been provided to members of the local community who are in need, or experiencing emergency hardship. This has provided in the fomi of Cash Grants. Payment of Educational Fees and distribution of Food. FINANCIAL REVIEW Principal funding sour¢es Leicester Community Assist raised donations from local communities during the year to maintain the centre and meet the charitable tasks.

Currently no particular figure is sel as a reserve fund, but the trustees have adequate financial expertise to monitor the spending of funds. STRUCTURE. This includes an explanation of their roles and responsibilities. an introduction to other trustees. an overview of recent aclivities and an explanation of broad fomat and process. Risk rnanagemenl The trustees have a duty to identify and review the risks to which the charity is exposed and lo ensure appropriate controls are in place to provide reasonable assurance againsl fraud and error. Review of the Finan¢ial Statements The Irustees consider the results of the year to be satisfactory where they received donations and other income of £46,403 {2024: £81.8831 and during the year. the charity carried out its objectives successfully. LEICESTER COMMUNITY ASSIST STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES. RESPONSIBILITIES Law applicable to charrties in England and Wales requires the tnjstees to prepare accounts for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the charitys financial activities during the year and of its financial position at the end of the year (unless the charity is entitled to prepare accounts on the altemalive receipts and payments basis). In preparing accounts giving a true and fair view. the trustees should follow best practice and- Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently, Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent" Stale whether applicable accounting standards and statements of recommended practice have been followed, subject to any departures disclosed and explained in the accounts" Prepare the accounts on the going concem basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in operation. The trustees are responsible for keeping accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy the financial position of the charity and which enable them to ensure that the accounts comply with the applicable law. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other IegUlaritieS.
LEICESTER COMMUNITY ASSIST INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF LEICESTER COMMUNITY ASSIST FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2025 l port on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2025. which are set out on pages 6 to 9. Respective Responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner As the charity's trustees you consider that an audit is not required for this year. It is the charitys trustees who are responsible for the preparation of the accounts- you consider that the audit requirement of Section 144{2) of the Charitses Act 2011 (The 2011 Act) does not apply. and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts under Section 145 of the 2011 Act and to state, on the basis of procedures, specified in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission under Sectson 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act, whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basls of Independent Examlnerfs Report My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the eviden that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given as to whether the accounts present a "true and fair view" and the report is limited to those matters set out in the ststement below. Independent Examiner's Statement In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention.. Statement of Recommended Practi applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019),. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical Gost convention. 1.2 INCOMING RESOURCES Donations and offerings are raised from the general public and other charities recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities when they become re1Vable. 1.3 FUND ACCOUNTING Unrestricted funds can be used in accordan with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees. Restricted funds can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of the charily. Restrictions arise vthen specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes. 1.4 RESOURCES EXPENDED Resources expended are recognised in the period in which they are incurred. 1.5 TANGIBLE FIXED ASSETS AND DEPRECIATION Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less depreciation.
