’ - 4 Treasurer s Report. 

We commenced with a bank balance of £1294 and concluded with £2665. 

Early concerns taking into account the threat of further covid outbreaks and a subs deficit over hall hire, it was decided to increase members subs from £3 to £3.50, also junior attendances were at times irregular. As a further measure funding of £2030 to cover league team fees and bolster our funds resolved the issue by securing further our funds, also we achieved a subs surplus of £635 over hall hire costs. We await notification from the School who are currently assessing whether hall hire costs will increase – my feeling is that there may well be an increase, in which case we will need to again further consider our position. 

The remainder of the statement shows no surprises. 

With a bank balance of £2665 I consider we commence our new year in a strong position. If all goes well, hopefully we will secure £500 funding towards our league team fees from our good friends Braunstone Town Council.

## – 6 Equipment 

Tables, although some are ageing they are sufficient in numbers and satisfactory. Out of interest I have researched the cost of new tables to find that there has been a substantial increase in costs. For the time being we have adequate nets and posts, however this needs to be kept under review. Our large annual cost is ensuring sufficient stock of match and practice balls, in my view of the cost, this should now commence.

Adult Team Report    ------- Ken. 

Junior Report. 

Leicester Junior Development League. 

Disappointedly we only managed to field four teams.The standard of play was very high and we started very well, however the boys faded in the two final sessions. Because of family commitments and other reasons, teams had to be reduced from three to two and in order to achieve this some players played up, in some instances out of their depth. For all of this the players enjoyed the tournament. Some of the players took part in the adult league, making good progress.
